It's quite expensive, but I would like to know if I can improve this in any way. I'm planning to use a few old parts of my old pc to place them in.

Summarized up: I need this build to be cheaper, but stay about the same.

Thanks for your recommendations! I have considered the Gigabyte one before, but I heard it's voltage locked. Are you guys sure that the extra $100 or so for the Vapor-X isn't worth it? And also, I'll find out more about the HIS 7970 :]. I don't really know much about Tomshardware forum, and I'm afraid that the reply button will lock this thread because it said Add solution o_O.

Update: I chose the normal Sapphire 7970 because, it was a combo with my RAM, so $16 off. I can probably OC it later on, from the core of 925 to about 1100.

You seem to have done a pretty good job of conserving money. My only suggestion would be to switch from a Sapphire 7970 to a HIS 7970

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161399

I have used 10+ of those in builds and I love them, and it'll save you 40 bucks.

Also, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125413 that one has a sick rebate right now and will only cost about $280 after all is said and done. The reviews look good, but I have never personally used one. I would say it's worth a shot though. That would save you like $100!

Besides that, you are not going to find prices much cheaper for the other components than what you have already found. (BTW, i use the Hyper TX3 as a cooler and I really like it.)

Hope this helps.

Not much to change, it is a very solid build.

Maybe get cheaper ram if you can find it.

I know you want to save money but I suggest you get a psu from Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, and XFX. Those are the most recommended brands. It will most likely cost more but you don't want to skimp on the psu.
