computer freezes and goes to sleep randomly

Have you checked your energy settings? There's an option to make the computer go to sleep, maybe it's activated.
Also, have you seen another problems. When did this problem start? What are your specs?

Check the event viewer and see if there is some kind of error or something before the computer freezes.

Right ok thanks.
the sleep settings were on. I will turn them off and try that.
I havent had any other problems and it started about 3 days ago.
In the event viewer there is a lot of .NET runtime optimization service if that means anything.

Sorry for late response, I'm getting a lot of problems with my GPU.


Has the problem stopped? I think everything should be ok now. If you are using a desktop computer, make sure to turn off any settings that may send to sleep any part of the computer, and you should have no more problems like that.
The event viewer will show a lot of error and warning entries. Just see what the error ones say and search them on google if you have some time.
