tv loss of sound

my JVC tv MODEL av-20nmg4b is losing sound as night approaches,what could be wrong?

If this is a broadcast signal the signal strength may be dropping as sometimes happens overnight due to weather and environmental reasons,this can affect the audio more than the video.
Try it with a DVD player.

Thanks a lot for your response.I had made a correction after my recent findings.
The sound is coming on and off,only.Some boys used to give the tv a slap when it went silent and sound came back.This continued for some time but finally slaps could not bring sound back.It's the same scenario even with DVD plater.

It means you have cold solder joints (broken). It is easily repairable, if that is the problem.
