Hey, my brother and I want to make a new system that we will build ourselves. My question is if this system will fit together properly (ie. do all the pieces fit together inside the case). Our main goal was to make it run all new(er) games on high/ultra.

System specs:

Basic Components
Case: Aerocool XPredator X3
Power Supply: Corsair CX750M
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
Processor: AMD FX-8350 Black Edition
Intern Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP CML8GX3M2A1600C9 (8 GB RAM)
Graphicscard/GPU: Sapphire Graphicscard PCI-e Radeon HD7970 OC 3GB 2xDVI/HDMI/DP

Extra Components
WLAN / Wifi Networkcard: TP-Link TL-WN781N
Optic Drives: Samsung SH-224BB Black
Intern HDD: Western Digital Red SATA 6 Gb/s WD10EFRX, 1TB

(Extra) Fans
Top fan: (200mm) Cooler Master MegaFlow 200 (blue color)
Back fan: (140mm) Standard stock fan
Front fan: (200mm) Standard stock fan
Side fans: (140mm) Enermax UCTA14N-BL 140 - 2 times (2x on side)

Total costs calculated: €1,003.24 and equals to $1339,53
Estimated Wattage: 494W
==

This is the first time we will build our own computer, so our question is if this will al fit together correctly without any problems.

Please leave feedback.

Hmm yeah my brother wants it haha ;-) Already suggested a much smaller case but he didn't like it. You sure it will all fit ? ;-)

It's a good start. But way too much money being spent on fans, and for your budget I would go with an Intel i5-4670K over an FX-8350, far better for gaming. Not to mention the case and PSU are well, less than adequate. What is your max budget and what is your country of origin? If I knew those things I could suggest a better rig.

We live in the Netherlands and my brother doesn't really care about how much it will cost, as long as he can play all games on high/ultra settings. He really wants this case very badly and doesn't want any other, I've already shown him a couple of others. And also, the fans are REALLY NOT expensive here at all.. total fan costs is about 40 euros (53,41 USD) that's it. I can get the video card for 333 euros (444,62 USD). Also AMD processors are cheaper than Intel here, and I just like having AMD with AMD instead of Intel and AMD even though I know it's not much of a problem. I would love to see your suggestions for a 'better rig' .

If it was my build (even if I`m going with very small form factor with Sugo SG09 case, and all the parts should arrive tomorrow), I would go with an i5 4670k, the MSI Z87-G65 or G45 depending on your budget/desire, a modular and good PSU (I`m going with a fully modular 750W from Silverstone), and the Vapor-X version of the HD 7970 from Sapphire (that`s what I`m getting).

Also, you didn`t mention anything about your storage, but an SSD might make a huge difference.

I was also thinking AMD+AMD might be better, but I`ve investigated a lot, and it`s impossible that everyone is wrong when they recommend the 4670k.

Just my 2 cents.

All right for your budget here is what I would suggest:

Case: Corsair Carbide 300R - € 74,90*
PSU: Seasonic S12 II 620W - € 94,90*
Motherboard: Asrock Z87 Extreme 4 - € 129,90*
CPU: 3.4GHz Intel Core i5-4670K - € 204,90*
Cooler: Cooler Master HJyper 212 Evo - € 32,99*
RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengenace DDR3 1600 MHz 1.5V - € 79,90*
HD: 1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM - € 57,90*
Optical: LG DVD Burner - € 15,99*
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9-280X - € 279,90*

Total: € 981,23

- € 30 less than original build
- i5-4670K overclocked will be better for gaming than AMD FX will be
- Included new R9-280X video card

The R9 280x is maybe a bit worse than the HD 7970, and the latter also comes with the game bundle.
Op should make a decision for the GPU based on all the facts, but price most important.

How is it worse? I haven't seen anything that says otherwise. It is true that you can't beat free games but the initial benchmarks I've seen for the R9s look pretty promising. Hopefully AMD clears up any glitches with the next round of Catalyst.

OK I found a preliminary (keyword) benchmark here: http://videocardz.com/46785/amd-radeon-r9-290x-performance-charts-emerge

And it looks like the 280X is offering performance comparable to a GTX 770 for less money, while the 290X looks like it's surpassing the Titan. But like I said these are preliminary benchmarks so we'll wait until the real thing is released before we pass judgement.
