Hello there; I am new to this site, but I have been following multiple threads concerning cross-firing my onboard 7540D with the discrete 6570 (XFX Radeon HD 6570 1GB). I installed my first video card today (awesome), but I ran into a few problems.

1. Computer started to beep 5 or 6 times with simultaneous flashes from the Power-LED, but that went away after 3 restarts.

2. This concerns my PSU: I've been looking around and saw that the 6570 can run on a 300w PSU (even though it is below the required 400w); however, on the labels on my PSU it said something along the lines of: "DO NOT EXCEED 103w." I know my CPU is a 65w, so I KNOW I am running into problems with wattage.

3. Which leads me to this third point. My computer is a HP p6-2327c (see here: http:// ) so I am wondering what PSU (I know that 6570 requires at least a 400w) will be able to fit into my computer case, and is it compatible with my MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine) motherboard?

about your first problem i don't know why this happened but if it happened again you have to ask about it
second 300w won't make an issue but if the power supply died it may destroy any thing
third i thought that this psu it will fit into your case Corsair CX 500W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified i think it is good

Thanks for the reply! About #1 that I listed, I think I fixed it. I had to go into BIOS and turn on Legacy Mode and disable Secure Boot because of an incompatibility problem with HP BIOS.

Will check out that PSU! Thanks!

Will come back with more information soon!

Well, I am back. According to the motherboard I have that is fused with HP's BIOS, apparently it will automatically switch off the onboard graphics when a discrete graphics card is installed. So it looks like I can't use Dual Graphics.

That leaves me with one question and three choices.

Question: So if the GPU is disabled on the processor itself I would think it would use less wattage; therefore, maybe the 300w PSU I have will suffice. I don't know.

My choices:
1. Go ahead and buy the 500w PSU and get a better graphics card.
2. Go ahead and buy the 500w PSU and stick with 6570.
3. Attempt to run the 6570 on the 300w PSU.

Ok, I'll give it a go with the 300w for a week or two. If my computer seems to start glitching or something, then I'm going for the 500w. I heard a lot of people say the 6570 runs well on a 300w. I'll take you all's word for it.
