I have a Sapphire 7950 3GB Boost Edition GPU (Dual-X Fans). I want to save some money up real quick and buy a card with it that will last me for the next few years. Playing games on less than ultra at 1080p @60fps is not an option. My question is this:

Should I--

1. Get another 7950 of the same kind and crossfire them?

or

2: Get a 9000 series card and crossfire that christmas time 2014?

I want to do it before Christmas because I will be buying my first vehicle sometime in the new year, so all my cash from December on will be going towards that. I just want the best performance possible. Also, can someone recommend a case thats ~$100-$125 with very good cable management? I need room to have Crossfire if that's the option you all recommend. Thanks for reading!

Hi - Your least expensive option is to add another 7950 if your mobo and PSU can support 2 7950's in CF.

Can't really answer the 9000 series question because the specs are just unfounded rumors right now and
there hasn't been any credible reporting of when the top end card (presumably the 9970) will be avail at retail.

As for the case:

http://pcpartpicker.com/mr/newegg/rosewill-case-thorv2 $100 but goes to $130 after tonite

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-case-rc932kk... HAF932 @$120

The PSU I have is an OCZ Fatal1ty 750w modular PSU. My 7950 is currently running @ 1.25v with +20% board power. My CPU is running @1.25v also. Is it OK for me to run 2 7950s in crossfire on this PSU with my current setup/configurations? Also, since the 9000 series cards are using 28nm technology, how much of a boost can they theoretically get over the 7900 series cards? Thanks for the case links, too.

Hi - Yes you can run your system with 2 7950's in CF with that PSU. Still don't know about the 9000 series, the most prevalent rumor is the 9970
will perform equal to or better than the 780 for less $$. But, it's rumor. But, you should know in a week. AMD is hosting a media event in Hawaii on the 25th.

Will know a lot more then.
