Hi, first off I am a total noob and don't know much about anything. I have an older model Dell optiplex with Win XP, I was using it when suddenly I there was a crackling noise from the speakers and the monitor went black, then said " no signal " Someone told me it might be the video card, so I bought a new video card, to no avail. When the power is connected I hear fans turning but the monitor says no signal.
Based on this am I right in thinking it is most likely the mother board which is bad? Would it be hard to find a replacment part?
