How to be an expert in Battlefield 2 multiplayer?

I am newbie in battlefield 2 multiplayer because i stick in singleplayer for a long time. Now i noticed that this is harder than singleplayer ofcourse. Now what technique can you recommend because it is irritating that i was about to point my gun to my enemy but suddenly he killed me already. Another moment is i am shooting him with the best i can do. My ammo almost emptied shooting at him but still i cant kill him. He just took 3 shots to me and i was killed again. Hate it. Also what gun can you recommend to me (USMC) so i can kill my enemy easily like the way my enemy kill me so easily. Any answers will highly appreciate.
