My laptop got wet. Now t works as long as the battery is removed. Sliding in the battery causes it to immediately shut off.

that indicates a fried component possibly the battery itself water could have caused a power surge to fry it sorry to say but that is probably the case you need a new battery and if not the power circuitry was shorted out/Fried on the main board which is irreplaceable but my guess the battery because it sounds like the bad apple when it connects circuits it cause your laptop to shut off water creates a circuit bridge and over voltage can short out/fry components
