Dual E5450 or E3-1230V3 for video conversion and virtualization?

Needing to do quite different thing, I was wondering which will be better? Obviously QSV is not in consideration as both CPUs don't have it and the quality isn't the best.

Which will be better suited for the job? I'm thinking the E3, but it may be hard to say. What do you guys think?

Look at an Opteron 6328 or something similar.
