I own an old Dell Dimension 3100 with 2 GB Ram and with one PCI-E X1 and two PCI slots open. It has a ViewSonic VA800 LCD monitor with dual VGA connectors (only one used). Is there an inexpensive graphics card I can install to run Win 7.0?
Either of these would do. I would go with the first one, since its based off of a newer chip.
Thanks for the suggestions.
I didn't know you could put the Zotac PCI Express 3.0 card into the PCI-E X1 slot of the Dell. That card's connector looks longer in the graphics board's picture.
The Sparkle PCI card seems like an equally possible solution. Not clear if the newer chip on the Zotac makes sense to upgrade to, since this is a short term solution and may not see the advantage in the long term.
