Hi all,

I am going to build a budget pc (£300)
And i do not know if i should get an Intel I3 with 4GB of Ram or Intel Pentium with 8GB of Ram
Also if anybody knows of any good cases with PSU (500W) then that would be helpful as well

Thanks,

Conor

No 500w PSU is good in an included case. In fact, they're all awful.

You're better off with these two combined. This will dramatically improve stability, cooling, reliability and quality over a cheap case and PSU combo -

NZXT Source 210 Elite Midi tower chassis - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/nzxt-source-210-elite-black-mid-tower-gaming-case-with-usb-30-w-o-psu

Corsair Builder series CX 430 80+ Bronze certified PSU - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/430w-corsair-builder-series-cmpsu-430cxv2uk-80plus-bronze-eff-uncertified-quiet-fan-atx-v23-psu

If you can increase your budget, get both of them, get the Core i3 and 4GB more RAM and you see excellent performance. I would get an Ivy Bridge Core i3 (model-32xx), as Haswell Core i3s (Model-4xxx) are known to trip under-current protections on most Power Supply Units in idle mode. The Ivy Bridge Core i3s are still excellent performers and are now cheaper.

Case is good, PSU is awful.
