Can anyone share their experience selling or recycling an old PC? I have an old gaming rig (spec below) that I'm not sure what to do with. I have it listed on craigslist but don't really know how to evaluate the value of older components. I also don't know if there is a more profitable place to recycle things instead. Can anyone guess the value of these components or offer insight on what to do with it?

Your machine is right on the borderline between sellable and a give-away.

If you want to sell it use Craigslist, but my guess is that you probably won't get more than $100 for it. It may not be worth your time to sell it.

If you want to recycle it, give it to a place that will re-use it, rather than just destroy it for materials. I recommend Free Geek if they're in your area (for locations see -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_geek#Locations

Cheers.
