Nvidia vs AMD resolution problems

I had an AMD 6670 and gaming was ok but wasn't doing it for me so upgraded to a 650.

With the 6670 I got resolutions up to 1980 x 1200

with the 650 max res is only 1440 x 900?

How do I get 1980 x 1080 on Nvidia 650?

Asus 650 not Ti
VGA
(Used VGA with AMD)

They should have the same option. Are you using any adapters? Is the monitor a CRT or LCD? Are you trying to change the resolution the Nvidia Control Panel, or the "screen resolution" option in Windows?

Have you installed nvidia driver properly? From my experience my monitor can't get into it's native res without gpu driver.

I'm not using adapters and it's LCD, I've tried both, the Nvidia control panel and the Display in control panel

I think so, I've downloaded from Nvidia's site and used live chat and got help from someone. Preformed fresh install from the advanced settings in the setup wizard

The guy from Nvidia said I need to flash my GPU with something from Asus?
I don't really want to incase I break anything
