hi im using this computer and have this graphics card but the screen goes black and doesnt display anything when turened on...

How are you connecting the monitor to the computer? VGA, DVI, HDMI? There may be something on the monitor settings you need to change to make sure you have the right input selected. Does the computer have an onboard graphics adapter? If yes, you may need to disable it in the BIOS.
