how do I tell what efficiency my psu is?

I have a solytech 800 watt power supply and no where on the supply does it say anything about 80 plus or anything for power efficiency. The only thing it says is ATX on it so I assume that means its just the usual 60% efficiency. I am just asking cause I just bought a 80 plus gold PSU and I wanted to calculate how much I will be saving.

Unless you see the certified ratings, 80+ bronze, silver, gold, or platinum there is no guarantee what it is. Since I cant find that power supply anywhere, I would say the Gold was well worth the money. Example, my TR2 700w should be 75%rating but nobody can be sure, as it has no rating promise.

Yea thats what I thought hence why i updated it. plus you can see inside it is not built with quality parts.

Yeah, it can work if you are in a pinch, but not a good choice.
