Connect USB Modem

I have boughrt a USB Modem ZTE MF 880 and I have problem with connecting it.
It says: Hardware cannot be installed, because the necessary software cannot be found.
The USB Modem function on a lap top. Please help me

Did the modem come with any software? Is it the MF880 or MF880T? The best I could find was a link to a user manual in Swedish (http://se.ztedevice.com/uploadfiles/product/570/3409/manual/2013082908331216.pdf). I could not find that model on the US site. Where did you purchase the modem?

The unit comes with installation software built in. You have to guess how to find it.
When you plug it in cancel all the driver search boxes that appear - 3 I think. XP then installs the devices CD ROM drive which will launch the software.

Oh and you probably need a reboot once done.
