Hi, this is my lowest stock voltage I was able to achieve. 1.225V is my lowest and it turbos up to 1.260V when prime 95 is running ran for 10 mins. and no errors. Tried 1.212V and core 8 an error occurred 4th test (after 5 mins) stock voltage when I built it was 1.3920V.

CPU: FX-8350
MOBO: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ R2.0
PSU: Corsair AX850 watt
Cooler: H60 with push-pull Corsair SP 120mm performance fans

it was only for 10 mins completed 8 8k tests but, when I lowered the voltage to 1.212 core #8 had an eror on the 4th test.

Yeah, you got to be careful about that, out of interest why the interest in undervolting? Saving money from using electricity, or just cause you can?

That's not bad, but for the H60 I would expect better. Have you also looked at your fan configuration/fan models themselves? I pulled an extra 5deg by installing a decent fan on my CM 212 evo

http://www.ocmodshop.com/zaward-120mm-g2-golf-fan-review/

It instantly dropped my sound output too.

MY COMPUTER JUST RESTARTED ITSELF WHEN I WAS WATCHING NETFLIX. SHOULD I INCREASE VOLTAGE ?

LOL do you think that could have caused it to restart? it only goes to 4113mhz when im doing normal things.

ran prime 95 for 1o torture tests and it was stable 1.235V goes to 1.272V when in prime95

clock speed doesn't decrease to 3433mhz any more :)

Yes, if you are fiddling with the preset settings on your voltages or multipliers, then anything that interferes with what you're performing changes the outcome, and will make the machine unstable.

When overclocking etc, the first thing is disable any 'Auto' like 'auto voltage control' etc. Ideally you want to be able to run Prime95 for about 10 minutes, (some swear by a whole 24 hours, but that's just watching your electricity bill rise..)

lol yea definitely over kill I would say I figured multiplier changes like that could cause it I just find it weird how it can be stable in prime for 10 mins and not while i'm doing normal tasks.

I think its fine for now the voltage only goes up by 0.010 no matter what I did only when I max it out it goes to 1.272

No, your computer will last years and years even running over voltage! if you're underclocking to save on temperatures, you needn't worry.

For instance, I've now run a 960t x4 3ghz.. Overclocked to 4GHZ and unlocked to 6 cores, running 24/7 for 2 years now, at around 1.5 volts (stock is 1.3 ish..)

I've had 2 years of good gaming out of it, so if I get 2 more I'll be a happy man.

Oh ok I just thought it helped it slightly I know it helps with temperatures and power though, I thought lower temps make it last a bit longer usually.

not really. A cpu will relatively speaking work for a lifetime, there are no moving parts to wear out over time.
The biggest killer would be static shock, and heat damage (from excessive and prolonged exposure to massive amounts of head (100degC+)

Personally I wouldn't worry about it, I generally aim for 65degC during summer (25 deg C ambient -here in NZ) max. Any more than that and I'd be worried.

Basically, your BF3 temps of 61degC are nothing to fret about under load. But if you have a goal, like a super super quiet PC then that's a tad high, as I daresay the fan was needed to keep that in check.

If you undervolt your CPU, your temps are lower, your fan engages less and you have a quieter PC.

But each to their own really.

you're not prolonging the life of your CPU by any meaningful amount by undervolting.
