how to choose a monitor

hi guys im planning to buy an 19 inch led monitor. can you guys help me what to look in the specs to know which is the better monitor. i currently have 5 monitors to choose from thanks!

The basic things to look for:

- resolution (1080p is standard, generally the higher the better)
- response time (lower is better, think less than 7ms, if you're gaming, less than 5ms)
- refresh rate (don't worry about it too much, unless you're really able to run games at frame rates over 60fps and really need to see the extra frames, most people don't)
- contrast ratio (the higher the ratio, the bigger the difference between the blackest blacks and whitest whites, which is a good thing)

There are other measurements (colors, etc), but those are the main ones.
