While picking a CPU, I was originally all of the 4770k. But from what I've heard, the others might be better for what I'm doing (photoshop, davinci resolve, after effects, premiere pro). Is the difference worth it? I'm on a tight budget and upgrading my MOBO as well as the CPU is hard. Are these processors really worth it?

The 4960X and 4930K should be somewhat quicker than the 4770K in those applications, but they are not for someone on a tight budget! You're looking at $800-900 for a 4930K and a compatible mobo.

It depends, are you making money from this set up?

If so, all of the applications above are very demanding: and I would HIGHLY recommend the 4930k, the extreme edition in my opinion isn't worth it.

True about the price range BUT you forgot to mention that 4770K + Mobo would be around (a minimum) of $500-$600. So generally speaking, being that Micro Center sells the 4770K for $280, 4930K is about $275 more.

Overall in your build youd be spending n additional $275 on your CPU (4930K) versus 4770K. And thats if you purchase through micro center. Newegg and Amazon are both around $330 for the 4770K, the price dif between 4930 and 4770 is now about $240. Thats the real price difference between the two.
