I am looking for a way to restore factory settings in an hp laptop g7 after installing a new hard drive

Hello, I have installed a new hard drive in my g7 laptop that was using windows 7 how do I get it to recieve factory settings from hp

the only way to do that now is get a recovery disk from HP if your Under warranty the you can probably get the recovery disk for a little of nothing or free HP computers allow you to make one set of recovery disk next time make sure you do this also even though HP has a built in recovery partition that is on the old HD
