How to find out if the recovery cd I have is compatible

Can I use Toshiba Recovery and Applications / Drivers DVD satellite A55 series on my Toshiba Satellite M305 S4907 laptop

Even if the Windows version is the same, It's unlikely that the hardware inside an A55 is exactly the same as inside the M305. So the drivers would not be the right ones.
