Help me with these cpus

I plan to play demanding games like bf3 and bf4, crysis and things like that, i will also record, do i really need a i7?

No, if you are going to game purely, i7 is not needed. The best cpu to get for gaming is the i5-4670k, which will be the top notch of cpus. i7 is needed by some programs and processes as PS, video editing, 3d modelling and so on. You can get an i5 and invest the rest of the money to get a better gpu, which is more improtant for gaming especially that you are going to record, which decreases fps considerably.

I think that BF4 will be utilize by AMD due to the livestream of GPU14.

I am confused, you mean it will be optimized on cpus depending on a GPU livestream? Btw, no game would utilize the 8 cores of the fx for at least 1 year, its really demanding process and difficult one for the developers to do. So buying an fx now is nonsense except if he is tight on budget, besides that the most games need more single core performance that the multi one, so the i5 is a better choice.

Tight budget? The FX 8350 is MUCH MUCH CHEAPER than the i5 and even the MOBO is CHEAPER than the Haswell platform.

And FX 8350 is much better than an i5 IMHO. You get an extra performance in for the price. Considering that you LOSS only a FEW fps in games but you sacrifice 50-100$ bucks for going intel and mobo (maybe). Its his choice. Im just giving him options
