replacement screen problem

Hi, I have a problem with my replacement laptop screen. So I replaced the screen with an identical screen but when I start the laptop the replacement screen doesn’t work. If I start the laptop with the old screen (dead pixels all over the place) and then remove the old screen and put the new one in I can see picture and the screen works the way its intended but once i power the computer off the new screen doesn’t turn back on.

must be a mismatch between the screens.

are you sure the new screen is exactly the same model as the old one. many a times lcd s wont power up due to voltage and power mismatch also.
