Let's wait for BF4 to be released and see how the latest AMD cards perform with it. By then, we will be able to decide on what to upgrade. However, I believe your system is still powerful enough to play BF4. You might want to hold on with your system for a little while until you are not satisfied by its gaming performance.

So ive played the beta and of course im experiencing the skips and frame rate drops as everyone else. I know this is a beta so i know optimizing my PC for this game right now is premature but....i'd still like to get some input on what i can upgrade to to make my machine a beast. What options do i have with what i have now? Should i look into a better card, cpu....??What are your suggestions?

Your CPU is powerful enough to play any games at high FPS. However, your GPU does not help define a "beast machine". That's why I am suggesting that you wait mid-October, and order one of those AMD R9 video cards.
