Replacing HDD on my old laptop: what's best under 100€?

It is an Asus N51V laptop.
I want to stay under 100€, because I will use it only rarely in case I need to use Linux (my new Vaio is too new for Linux, meh) or burn some DVD (new laptop without it).
So, it is an occasional machine that does not require really much space nor huge performance.
So I would go for a cheap HDD, although an SSD might be an option as well.

Any recommendation (HDD vs. SSD, and which model)?
