3 monitor setup, 2x580 vs single 780

3 monitor setup, sli Gtx 580 vs 780. Hi I was wondering if anybody can help me answer this question. I'm currently running 2x 580 sli on my 3 monitor setup with nvidia surround. Now I'm trying to find a single gpu solution to reduce the heat comming from a dual card setup. Would a single Gtx 780 " galaxy hof" version give me better performance and heat control vs 2x580? Thx in advance

780 is almost dead on the same speed as SLI 580, if a touch faster.

What resolution? What are you doing on PC?

My current resolution is 5760x1080 and I'm using my setup for surround gaming "mmos and some first person shooters like battle field". Thx for the quick replys

Get 780 and drop resolution, and you'll be golden! By dropping res I mean like to 2560x1080 if I am correct on the numbers

Anybody else has a thoughts or hard numbers that proves that a single 780 is about the same or better the 2x580 sli?

590 is 580 SLI with a tiny core clock decrease.
