Onboard and Discrete Graphics (Onboard on APU and Mobo) Help!

Hey Everybody,

For a possible upcoming build, I'm looking at maybe using an AMD A10-6800K APU and a Gigabyte GA-F2A85X-D3H Mobo. These both have onboard graphics.

I heard somewhere online that it is just a UEFI/BIOS setting to tell which on gets used. Can anybody verify that?

And, if sometime in the future, I can upgrade to discrete graphics, I would just choose those in the BIOS, right?

Also, is it possible to run them simultaneously for better performance and/or more monitors?

yes you can buy a discrete card and crossfire it with the cpu but you need to look up what card you can use. i think its a 6770 you can use or if you have a good cooler you can overclock the on bored and get better performance that way.

So I can actually CrossFire the CPU and a discrete GPU?

Can I CrossFire the APU and the mobo?

You can only Crossfire the the APU with the right card.
