No pictures can be seen nor any wallpaper on the desktop

my computer asked for updates and i updated it but now no pictures can be seen nor any wallpaper on the desktop and the update has failed by telling that updates have failed
Now no pictures can be seen on my computer but the videos can be seen and the picture can only be seen in Microsoft Office Picture Manager
SO, Please give me a solution to this as no picture on the desktop is there only a black screen is there and no other picture can be seen
