Is this a good gaming rig for the money?

Is this a good gaming rig for the money? Should I switch anything out for something cheaper? My budget is $1000, but preferably lower. I know I didn't include a graphics card but that's because I'm waiting for the new AMD Radeon's. Oh, and this is also my first rig.

I'd change out the mobo, won't touch MSI for client builds, maybe an Asus Z87-A or the Z87-Plus, and would prob flip out the Artic Freezer for the Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler

I would get a different case and you're missing a PSU and OS. Could change the mobo to an Extreme 4 and the CPU cooler to something else. Use this website:

If your not overclocking there's no point getting an unlocked CPU. Switch to an i5 -4430.
