is it too much power

hey i am build a gaming pc it has a amd phenom ii x6 1100t on a sabertooth 990fx with a 2tb hard drive a 120gb ssd 10x120mm fans a xfx 7870 (but i will want to go crossfire in the future)and i was going to get a ax1200 but is that to much power?

1200 is overkill, used the outervision eXtreme Power Supply Calculator Lite. 750 will do you great.
i would suggest what SR-71 Blackbird suggested. a nice quality, it is modular too.
 


Power supply calculators are a helpful tool but some are a little generous in their recommendations. The unfortunate truth here is that PSU manufacturers often play marketing games with their numbers and those calculators try to take that into account. Hence the recommendation for 1200 when 750 is enough. The XFX unit SR-71 linked and the AX units are quality PSU's so overkill is not at all needed

Note: The AX 760 and AX 860 are both SeaSonic manufactured
