I was setting up my first PC and I was was watching a LinusTechTips video to guide me through, and he said that having the fan face upwards is better for your GPU. This can't be true right? It makes no sense at all. And everybody else says: fan down. Do I need to turn my PSU upside down or can I just leave it there?

If your case has air holes on the bottom for the PSU, mount it with the fan down, always.

My case is a Define R4 so it is possible but it is already mounted so is it worth it to turn it around and re-attach all the cables?

Yes, I would flip it for sure.

Can i just flip it? or do I need to remove all of the cables?

Also, does the PSU fan take IN air? or does it blow out?

It takes air in and blows out the back. You really want to have it facing down.
