Im having trouble deciding between these two MOBOS:

Asrock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z77%20Extreme4/

Or

Asus P8Z77-V LX Motherboard: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z77V_LX/

This is to go with the Intel i5 4670 and the Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870 OC version. Im also not planning to OC anything.

Im leaning towards Asrock as it seems to be at the higher end of its group, whilst the asus one is in the entry level of its group. So im, foolishly, assuming it is better. Also the ASrock has way more fan headers than the Asus which suits me as im getting the Zalman Z9 Plus case which comes with 4 system fans.

As you can see, these are pretty naive reasons to choose a MOBO but im new to this, so im asking for any opinions that can help my choice. I've also read many forums that compare the ASrock to the LK or LE version of the Asus, not much on the LX.

I've heard people preach that ASUS is the only way to go and ASrock usually has worse build quality etc.

Thanks for your time.

Ah can't believe I didn't notice that! Thanks. Do you recommend any other MOBOs? Im looking for something under £100 but don't mind going a bit over.

Just been looking into it. I can use those two if I use the Intel i5 3570, right?

Because you use the non-k I recommend get the H87 or B85. http://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/Z87-H87-H81-Q87-Q85-B85-What-is-the-difference-473/

If you use the i5 3570 with the Z77.

For the H87, GA-H87M-D3H and the review: http://extremespec.net/gigabyte-ga-h87m-d3h-motherboard-review-design-testing-performance/3/

Hi Cin, thanks for the help. Im still a little confused so is it ok if I ask a few more questions?

Is using the i5 3570 with the Z77 bad?

EDIT: never mind I did my reseach and understand what you mean now.

Decided I might go with the i5 3570k and the ASrock Z77 board. I know I said im not planning to OC but I'd still like to keep the option open for the future, plus the possibilty of using dual GPUs. Ofcourse, I know I'll need an aftermarket cooler.

It is bad for wasting money because you can't OC the non-k cpu. Z-MB is for OC the CPU and the RAM, if you get the non-k cpu, you can't OC and you don't want to OC, then you just waste the money on the Z-MB. But this is your called.
Note: you can mild overclocking the non-K cpu.

Not sure if you read the EDIT on my last post, but basically I've decided to go with the i5 3570k now.
