I am trying to decide between 2 solid state drives, but I am confused as to which is better:

Intel:

Mushkin:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226371

Mushkin has much better 4k speeds according to the specs:

Intel:
Random Read (8GB Span) 42000 IOPS
Random Write (8GB Span) 52000 IOPS

Mushkin:
4KB Random Read 92,000 IOPS
4KB Random Write 80,000 IOPS

But in this performance benchmark test, the Intel performs better:
http://www.harddrivebenchmark.net/high_end_drives.html

Intel = 3486
Muskin = 2741

Can someone help explain which would be better? They are similarly priced (within $10).Thanks a ton!

The mushkin has the better 4k read speeds @ 22.2MB/s the intel is not far behind at 19.7
The intel has the better performance at queue depths. At q=64 the mushkin score 194mb/s while the intel scores 224.
To me both drive are fairly comparable for day to day usage but I would go witht he intel as it offers the newer tech.

Have you not considered the Samsung Evo 250 @ $190?
