Decided to replace an aging Kuhler H20 620 with a H100i based on performance reviews. I'll let the test results speak for themselves.
Keep in mind that I installed and removed the H100i for all 3 tests just to ensure it was seated properly. This included re-applying the thermal compound prior to each test. As a final measure, I would periodically press down on the heat sink to ensure temps remained constant.
Note that fan speed on the H100i was almost 1000 rpm's higher than the Kuhler H20 620. Also noteworthy is I shared the H100i results on the Corsair boards and they were deemed acceptable, but would not address how much better the 620 performed.
