my pc wont really do anything

hello my brothers pc is having a lot of problems so he was play the bf4 beta today and his fps was low so he got the new drivers from nvidia and he was using it fine then he turned it off went away for a bit came back turned it on and wont connect to the internet with a hard wire or wireless he lost his wallpaper his dvd drive wont read any disks his sound wont work it wont let him set it back to a to a different restore date it wont let him factory restore it we really dont know what to do any help would be great if you need the specs i can post that later

Sounds like virus, malware or a dead CMOS battery, I'd try booting into safe mode and run a Malware check and a Virus scan, .....while there check date and time, make sure they are correct, if not correct them.....when scans are done, shut down then boot back into safe mode, if time and date off again (by a lot), might want to get a new CMOS battery
