What I was wondering is, when I migrate or transfer the OS, will I be able to use the HDD on a different pc and the SSD on the new one both running the same copy of windows with the same key?
only reason i want to do it is because i corrupted the uefi boot on my older one and i find it way too complicated to fix it, so i figure by formatting my current ssd, ill then copy the new windows which comes with uefi and the gtp partitions etc. then ill just change the key and or windows version itself.
Not entirely clear on what you're trying. Does the new PC have W8 pre-loaded, and you plan using it's OS on an SSD then drop the HDD into your old PC? If that's the case then apart from Driver issues all you would then need to do is activate the OS on the old PC using it's own Product key by telephone...
