Hi guys,
I've been having some trouble deciding on some of the parts of my recent build.
I have a decent/standard 1920x1200 24" display that I can use, but had an itch to change it.
The main use of the build is Gaming, getting ready for BF4 :D
For the same budget the options I have are:

1)Stay with the old display and get 2x EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Classified ACX, 3072 MB
2)Get a 27" 1920x1080 display and a single EVGA GeForce GTX Titan SC Signature, 6144 MB
3)Get a 27" 2560x1440 display and a single EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Classified ACX, 3072 MB

I'm really having trouble deciding and I'd value some opinions.
PS. Consider that I might come up with some money to upgrade down the road, but it may be a while...

Thanks!

One GTX780 is more than enough for a single 1080 display.
Titan is an overpriced lump, the 780 nips at its heels for a lot less.
A 27" screen is huge, make sure you can sit far enough away to use it properly.
We need the systems complete specs.
Option 3 gets my vote.

Get a 780 now. Save money. Then get a 1440p monitor + SLI your 780.

You misread the possible solutions, I have to choose between getting a 1440p monitor OR to SLI my 780.
My concern is that a single 780 won't be enough to handle 1440p resolution...

Option #3 all the way!!

Having recently upgraded from 1080p to 2560 x 1440 I cannot recommend the higher resolution enough. Games on medium settings on 1440p look MUCH better than the same game on ultra on 1080p.

I currently have a Crossover Q27 2560x1440 display bought on ebay for 380$ and it rocks. There are some of those cheap korean screens you can get for 299$ but I am not sure of their quality. I currently have a GTX 670 and it runs most games on medium at that resolution but still looks amazing. Will be SLI'ing another 670 soon.

A single 780 for now should be enough for most games I would think, and down the road you can SLI the 780's for mindblowing BF4 at 2560x1440 on ultra! Or maybe buying a screen from ebay just saved you enough to SLI the 780's right away....

2560 x 1440 will make any 1080p look like crap.

To address your concern about the single GTX 780 not being enough GPU at 1440x2560:

single GTX 780 at 2560 x 1440:

BF3 ULTRA: 64 FPS
Bioshock ULTRA: 59 FPS
Crysis 3 very high system specs, MSAA: low, Textures high : 31 FPS
FarCry3 Ultra 4xMSAA: 38 FPS

(from the Tomshardware 780 review)

So clearly the card will be able to handle anything at this resolution with a few settings off. Also remember that with a higher resolution less antialiasing looks the same due to higher pixel counts.

Nice specs, mate.
You have a GTX780, right?
1: Makes no sense ATM, dual GTX780s are vast overkill for a single 1080 screen.
2: you're only a hairs thickness from the Titan anyway and a bigger screen at the same resolution will DEMAND higher AA to compensate for the larger pixels.
3: The display is the single most important part of a build from a usability point of view; Chances are you'll keep a good screen for YEARS, long after the CPU/GPU have been upgraded and, possibly through more than one build, so choose that monster display wisely.

Thanks mates,
the consensus seems overwhelming.
Pete_the_Puma's comment about antialiasing being less important due to higher pixel density was particularly convincing.
Unless another convincing argument is made on the other options I guess I'll be sticking with the Display upgrade and the single 780...
Thanks so much to everyone!
