How do you boot off of your SSD drive on a new Computer

Disconnect all of your hard drives, connect the SSD to 6Gbps SATA port, insure that the SATA mode in the bios is set to AHCI, make your optical drive the first boot device and the SSD the second, and install then install your OS to your SSD. Then connect any hard drives.

What motherboard are you using? If you don't have an Intel or AMD 6Gbps SATA port, better not to use a Marvell controller, use a 3Gbps port instead.

Yes, nice motherboard. Any of the SATA ports are fine, although I usually use the first for my SSD just out of habit. Attach your keyboard and mouse to the two USB 2.0 connectors next to the PS2 connector for your installation rather than USB 3.0 ports to avoid potential issues in having them not work.
