GPU as Capture Card

So an idea came to me today, and I wanted to know if anyone's tried it out or has experience with anything similar. I've got a Lenovo y510p with the dual GT750M's in SLI with the ultrabay configuration, and I was curious to know if it was possible to temporarily dedicate one of the graphics units to capturing video (via fraps, bandicam, etc.) instead of running it over both of them and if this would provide any significance improvement in recording or frame rate. I don't think you can do this unless you find software that has the option to select a specific gpu to handle processing. Seeing as how most people who stream and capture stuff use a dedicated card or device I doubt you'll be able to do what you're looking to do.
