So, I've been looking for a new Gaming PC. I have never fully built a computer on my own before besides installing the simple stuff. (EX. Ram, Graphics Cards, Sound cards.) So I am a little nervous at going at this.
I want my PC for recording gameplay videos, recording music and video editing. My current Laptop doesn't meet my needs, can't record vocals at high sample rates without underruns, can't play games and record them without choppiness and other problems. My buddy just built his own gaming PC, it seems to be working great for all his needs and it is cheaper to build then to buy a prebuilt one as I have noticed from looking at prices of PC's already built. Not to mention all the horror stories about cyberpower pc and them other sites.

So, I was thinking about just getting the same or similar setup as him that will run me around $1,700.
Let me know what you think and if I need to make adjustments and why. I'm such a amateur at this but he is going to help me build it. He got all his parts on Newegg and I'm thinking about getting the same build. Here is what he got.

Sounds like a beast :) Maybe more HDD space for your editing/recording and an aftermarket cooler for the CPU, those stock ones get loud on load.
