I am thinking of purchasing this video card:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102994

It needs a 400-watt power supply. Mine is 600W, but correct me if I'm wrong, it's the # of amps on the 12v rails that makes the difference, right? I have very little experience in these things.

Anyway, my PSU is a Zumax ZU-600W, but I am not positive if the amperage is enough for this card. According to its specs (if I am interpreting them correctly), it has 2 12v rails @ 20A each, therefore this should be enough for the video card I wish to buy, right?

Here are the tech specs for my PSU: http://www.zumaxpower.com/products/zu600w.htm

Thanks!

Even though that power supply is a terrible power supply, it should run the 6570. What are your other components?

Also, even though it says you need 400W doesnt mean it requires it. Its just so if you kill your system running it on 300W you cant say its their fault. It wouldnt fry on a system with 300W anyway.

Thanks for your reply, Deemo13. Yeah, I know my PSU isn't great, but it's served me well for 4 years. The other components I have (other than the CPU & main board) are 2 120mm fans - 1 w/LED, but it's burnt out, 4 DDR2 memory sticks, 2 SATA 2.0 hard disks (not sure how fast they are, possibly your typical 7200 RPM), 2 ATA100 DVD burners, USB wired keyboard & mouse, & occasionally a USB 2.0 flash drive or two.

Is that pushing it? Also, just out of sheer morbid curiosity, how good of a video card can I use for my PSU? I used to have an 8800 GT hooked up, but unfortunately it gave up the ghost last December, so now I'm using a 6600 GT.
