i7 4771 problems

I've purchased a MSI z87 mobo and i7 4771 cpu.

The system won't turn on, only briefly for a split second.

I've done all the usual stuff, even just the cpu in the board to no avail, BUT i can take the CPU OUT have everything else in there and it powers on.

My PSU is a 1000w so I dont see the problem....

Faulty CPU, RMA it.

What is the motherboard's exact model? Most likely it does not support this CPU without BIOS update.
