"Go to last read post" never works

When I get a reply to a thread I started, I get an email. I click the link in the email to jump to the thread. Then I click on the "Go to last read post" link on the page, but it just refreshes the page. It never jumps to the newest reply. Is anyone else having this problem? Could it please be fixed?

"Go to the last read post" should take you to the last post that you read, traditionally the last page of the thread that you read in multi-page threads. Where you have pagination, you can also click "Newest" to jump to the newest post, regardless where you stopped reading.
