CPU Overheating when playing some games and videos

Okay, so this is really freaking me out lately. I have a custom build.

I'm running Windows 7 Professional
I have an Intel Core i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30 GHz
I have 16GB of RAM
My video card is an AMD Radeon HD 7900
I have a Kuhler 620 cooling system installed with a dual fan setup where air gets pushed into the radiator and pulled out through the back.

I have found that when playing Rift, my CPU regularly gets above 72C, often into the 80s and sometimes to 88C, where I catch it, freak out, and stop playing.

Recently, this has crept into other things as well. Case in point, I was watching some shows on Hulu, noticed the framerate dropping, and found my CPU was at 88C. As soon as I stop playing Rift or stop watching the videos, the CPU starts to cool down.

I've reapplied thermal paste to the cooling block, cleaning the CPU, etc etc, I've looked at guides and read some topics around here on it. That is to say I'm pretty sure it's not the paste that's causing this issue.

Furthermore, my motherboard temperature, as read by Asus' AI suite, is chilling at around 31C to 29C. The heat sinks, as I just felt, are warm. Not, hot, but warmed. The cooling block is HOT. Like, I don't want to leave my hand on there for more than a few seconds hot. Likewise, one of the tubes leading from the cooling block is very warm to the touch, indicating that hot liquid is running away from the block, while the other one is cooler to the touch, indicating that cool liquid is heading towards the cooling block.

Yet still my CPU is blazing hot.

Currently, it is cooling down from an 88C spike. It was just hovering at 75C until I exited a tab with a youtube video open, but paused. It has now fallen from 75 to 73, but isn't lowering from there. I was thinking perhaps Flash was messing with it somehow, but I'm not so sure anymore.

I have Advanced System Care, so I just took a snapshot of my system using the SysExplorer tool, which I'll copy below in a spoiler tag for anyone who cares to view it. I'm not so computer-literate that I can decipher it all, don't really know what I'm looking for in there or if that is something that even needs to be considered, but thought it can't hurt to have in here in a spoiler tag...

Regarding CPU voltages and such, they are all system default. The current clock speed is 3301 Mhz. Asus's TurboV EVO tool lists the BCLK Frequency at 100.3 MHz, the CPU Voltage at 1.165, and the DDR Voltage as 1.5

And my system is at 76C right now. Seems to be oscillating between 74 and 76 while pretty much idle...

Can anyone suggest anything I should look into? Anything I should do? I'm pretty worried. As far as I know, this doesn't happen when I play most of the higher end Steam games I have, like Crysis 2. (I haven't actually looked in depth into other games, I just notice it mostly with Rift and Flash videos).

Edit: I should also mention that the air coming from the back of my chassis feels cool. Is the heat from the liquid cooling not actually going to the radiator? Could I have a defective Kuhler?

Edit Edit: link to a pic of my setup https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21532214/photo.JPG

Edit Edit Edit: turned off my computer, reached through the front fan to touch the radiator and it was all cool to the touch, shouldn't it be hot?!

Any ideas would be so very much appreciated!

le sigh. Installed the stock fan that came with the chip. Seems to be working fine. That's... money kinda wasted. Out of warranty and all.
