Do i need more than a 750watt power supply?

Specs:

Intel Core i5 3570K
750W Corsair Builder Series CX, 85%
3GB MSI Radeon HD 7970 Twin Frozr
16gb ram (not sure what type, most likely ddr3)
Intel motherboard DZ87KLT-75k

Some games are crashing my computer on best settings, do i need more power?

No, you have enough power overall to power that system. Are there any signs that the pc gives you? Does it make loud noises? Also, how hot is you cpu/gpu?

When i am running any modern game i screeching noise comes from my gpu, i get no error just a blank screen and i cant ctrl alt del, i just have to reboot.

It seems random, but i havent experienced this yet while using lower settings, not happy about this seen as though ive spent so much on high end parts.

Ok, my first suggestion would be download the latest drivers from both AMD for the gpu and Intel for the cpu.

your motherboard is a 1150 cpu socket and your cpu is LGA1155 3.4GHZ Ivy Bridge so ???
how many ram stick do you have ? i mean 2X8 GB or 1X16GB ??? and you need to install the first two ram stick on the two blue memory socket

Your main problem now I that mobo. that might even be the solution to the problem, by getting an actual 1155 motherboard

Your main problem now I that mobo. that might even be the solution to the problem, by getting an actual 1155 motherboard


Just spent 200 on this motherboard, so i need another now? Bought this one specifically for it to all work together.

Your main problem now I that mobo. that might even be the solution to the problem, by getting an actual 1155 motherboard


Just spent 200 on this motherboard, so i need another now? Bought this one specifically for it to all work together.


My guess is that none of the pins are bent because it works (BTW I have no idea how it works) but you could possibly RMA it. Did you try the latest drivers?

I took the pc to a proffesional and he fitted all of the parts i have, and im just installing updates now.

Okay so the games dont seem to be crashing at all anymore on best settings, the annoying sounds is still there but oh well.
