my rig-
msi ms-7778 motherboard
Seagate barracuda 1TB hdd
AMD A8-5500 (3.2ghz) processor
Radeon HD 7560D graphics (cpu supported)
6gb RAM (1600mhz)
300w power supply

I want to add a graphics card to this stock HP computer and allow higher video settings on games and faster fps. Iv found a card for a good deal and seems very good is the EVGA GeForce GTX 650 p4-2650-KR 1gb 128-bit (1058mhz) core clock speed for $116. ill have to update the power supply to power the card. iv found the LEPA N series N500-SA 500w power supply for $36.and im getting a new case for better airflow and for bottom mounted power supply to support the powers supply's bottom fan. main reason for the case though is airflow the hp case only has a 120mm out fan.

would this card be a good buy and performance for what I need? i really want to be able to play high end games on one monitor and at at least normal settings. Right now I play DAYZ: Arma 2 at 30-35fps on very low video setting. and I want to be able run at high settings at about 45fps. would this card work for me? would overclocking my processor make a dramatic change in fps? it can be turbo to 3.7ghz.

found another card guys its the Sapphire vapor-x Radeon HD 7770 Ghz edition 1gb 128-bit. is this better or the previously listed one?

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realise that your budget is $120. That being the case, I wouldn't get the GTX 650 OR the HD 7770. I would get the HD 7790 for less than both of those or I would get the HD 7790 OC for the same price:

VisionTek Radeon HD 7790 - $108:

VisionTek Radeon HD 7790 OC - $117:

XFX Radeon HD 7790 - $110 (-$20 Mail-In-Rebate)

These ATi Radeon HD 7790s destroy both of the cards you listed, they all have lifetime warranties on them and two of them cost LESS.

That's my recommendation at your budget level. In fact, Tomshardware lists the HD 7790 as the best value in that price bracket:

At the end of the day, I'd take the XFX. I have two XFX Radeon HD 4870s, one is 6 years old and one is four years old. They both work perfectly to this day and I was successful in collecting the mail-in-rebate on both of them (the first one from TigerDirect and the second one from newegg). My current Powercolor Radeon HD 7870 XTs are both from NCIX and there was a Crossfire problem. They handled it immediately and ordered me TWO brand-new cards despite the fact that we don't know which card was acting up. The XFX will end up being $90 and that's a fantastic value considering their "double lifetime warranty" which means that if you sell the card to someone else, they also get the lifetime warranty. :D
