Why does my lap top say "no bootable device. Insert boot disk and press any key"?

I just put my lap top to the original factory settings and now it's telling me, "no bootable device. Insert boot disk and press any key." Does anyone know why this is happening?

  1. Something went wrong and it can't find a bootable device. Do you have an Windows installation DVD?
    Is the laptop under warranty?
  2. No I don't have warranty. Can I just by a installation DVD and put it in?
  3. What operating system was preinstalled on the laptop?
  4. The hard drive is not selected as boot. Press F2 then go to Advanced, Change boot order and select USB. Then put the USB drive in the laptop. It should boot up!
