Well when i turn my pc on my psu ticks really loudly for about 2 min

Psu: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817702010

I've used it for about 3 years now so its getting old for most of its life it was running this

AMD Phenom 9550 X4 2.2ghz
XFX ATI 4870 1Gb GDDR5
5Gb of DDR2 ram

for about 3 months it ran this.

AMD Phenom 9550 X4 2.2GHz
EVGA GTX 660 SC
5Gb ddr2 ram

Now it is running

Intel I3 3240 at 3.4GHz
EVGA GTX 660 SC
8Gb of DDR3 ram 1600mhz

anyone know why my psu is doing this should i run away from my pc before it blows up?

That tick noise is coming from coils or cooler parts.
Im not sure if your psu is blowing but better be sfe and buy new psu.

Edit. Find two really good PSU under 100$

Well then we must hope it do NOT blow. That tick can be caused by warm.
Before you starts system it is cold and then it gets warm.
So there is not necessarily anything wrong in psu.
Sometimes powers just do that tick sound.
