This is for my brother.

He recently built a new computer and the GPU he got was a EVGA GTX 760 2gb. He tried running surgeon simulator but when he looked at his temps, his GPU was at 100c. Is that normal.

Nvidia says the max temp of a 760 is 97c (reference: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt...) So I'm thinking he got a bad card but a google search says that high temps can be normal but there aren't many links saying that's right. And I don't think that's right for Surgeon Simulator of all games.

Any suggestions or is this seriously considered normal?

100c is extremely high. I would RMA the card.

High temperatures are normal when very stressed but not when running that little game. As shadow32 said, I would RMA (and take pictures of it before sending it back).
